BADM (BS) International Business Studies

Mission

The mission of the International Business Studies major is to prepare for careers in a global economy. To accomplish that mission, the program recognizes the importance and need for both a traditional business education and competence in non-business areas of language proficiency as well as cultural understanding and sensitivity. Because this program falls under the scope of AACSB International accreditation, the students are also assessed as a part of the Bryan School Undergraduate Program (AACSB International accredited programs) which includes five student learning outcomes.

Learning Outcomes

Analyze and Evaluate Key IB Issues
Outcomes:
1.1 Students will be able to analyze key International Business (IB) issues.
1.2 Students will be able to evaluate key International Business (IB) issues.

Global Environments Strategy
Students will be able to evaluate the influence global environments have on management decisions and formulate appropriate strategies to improve performance.
Outcomes:
2.1 Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of competitive challenges in the global market environments.
2.2 Students will be able to match appropriate international strategies and policies to various global environments.
