Mission

The mission of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is to prepare students to become exemplary professionals and leaders in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. The Department is committed to providing the highest quality academic, research and clinical training and to instill in students a desire to make significant contributions to the profession, to the people whom we serve and to our community.

Learning Outcomes

Oral and Written Communication
Students will demonstrate graduate-level oral and written communication skills.

Research Designs and Methods
Students will gain experience in designing and conducting research in the discipline through direct participation in supervised research.

Theoretical Knowledge
Students will master in-depth knowledge of the theory and research in recognized sub-field(s) of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
