Peace & Conflict Studies (BA)

Mission
Graduates of the UNCG Bachelor's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies (PCS) will possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for successful conflict practice in applied settings. This is accomplished through community engagement activities embedded throughout the curriculum that merge theory and practice. Students gain proficiency in conflict management and transformatiion practices as well as peacebuilding in post-conflict contexts.

Learning Outcomes

Using Theory
Graduating students will be able to use theory to support practice decisions.

Senior Seminar
As reflective practitioners, students engage in, and accomplish, a rhetoric-driven, creative paper where they reflect back on the experience in the program and integrate their learning into a cognitive whole.

Uses Research to Support Practice
Graduating students will be able use research to assess their practice decisions.
