Nursing (MSN)

Mission
At the conclusion of the master's program, the student should:

  • Apply an advanced body of knowledge and skills in nursing management, nursing education, or clinical nursing practice to persons in a variety of settings.

  • Evaluate applications of the inquiry process (research and evidence based practice) to nursing practice.

  • Practice as a nursing specialist (in managment, education, or clinical nursing) in promoting the well-being of persons in a variety of settings.

Learning Outcomes

Nursing Outcomes
Master's students will demonstrate nursing knowledge related to a specialty in nursing administration, nursing education. nurse anesthesia, or as a nurse practitioner.

Inquiry Outcomes
Master's students will demonstrate knowledge of inquiry including research and evidence based practice processes.

Practice Outcomes
Master's students will demonstrate competence to practice in a specialty area in nursing administration, nursing education, nurse anesthesia, or as a nurse practitioner.
